Arts Garbage Service
  1. Where should I set my garbage container?
    Please set it along the sidewalk or curb by 6am on your day of service.
  2. What time should I have our garbage container out?
    All garbage should be set out by 6:00am on the day of collection.
  3. What do I do with paint & chemicals?
    We can dispose of any paint cans that are either empty or in which the paint is completely hardened.
  4. Do you supply yard waste containers?
    Our yard waste service runs April – November. We do have a 95 gallon yard waste cart we will provide for customers on the weekly yard waste route.
  5. How should I prepare my grass clippings?
    Yard waste consists of grass and leaves only. If signed up for the weekly service, the clippings can be thrown into the yard waste cart loose. If using the yard waste bag system, please throw the clippings into the bags and secure them tight. Branches, shrubs, garden rubbish, etc are all considered trash.
  6. How can I get my grass clippings picked up?
    If on the weekly route, the yard waste cart is on a route and will be dumped on the same day as the trash every week. If using the bag system, Waste Connections of Norfolk must be called at least one day prior to trash service to schedule the bags to be picked up.
  7. Can I pay my bill on-line?
    Yes you can pay online at here or click the link on the home page.
  8. Do you take credit cards? Is there a fee? Which cards do you accept?
    We proudly accept Visa, and Master card for your convenience. There is no fee for this service and it only takes a few minutes on the phone.
  9. Where are you located?
    We are located at 1801 Wood Street. Turn north off Monroe Avenue by Arkfeld Industry and follow the road. We are next to NE Central Railroad. The transfer station is located at 600 E. Monroe Avenue.
  10. Where is the transfer station and what is the phone number?
    The transfer station phone number is 844-2231.
  11. What if I have extra garbage or need a special pickup?
    Extra garbage and special pickup will be taken for a small additional fee. Just call our office the day before trash service to schedule the extras and/or special pickup to be taken. Extras and special pickups will be left unless Waste Connections Inc. has received a phone call granting permission to take them. Please call for scheduling.
  12. How do we dispose of larger items such as couches or beds? Is there any charge?
    Larger items will be picked up the same as any extras or special pickups. There is an additional cost, so please call to get the cost of a specific item, as the prices vary.
  13. What are your office hours?
    Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
  14. What is your billing cycle?
    Commercial customers are billed on a monthly basis. Residential customers are billed quarterly. Monthly billing is offered if preferred.
  15. What are the measurements of your dumpsters or roll-offs?
    Dumpsters:
    2yard - 2"10" x 6' x 3'
    3yard - 3'4" x 6' x 4'4"
    4yard - 4'3" x 6' x 4’4"
    6yard - 4'10" x 6' x 4’3"
    8yard - 6' x 6' x 4'6"
    10yard - 6’ x 6’ x 7’6"
    Rolloffs:
    12yard - 14' x 8' x 3'6"
    12yard BIG - 18' x 8' x 2'6"
    20yard - 16' x 8' x 5'

    Some sizes of roll-offs may very in length and height.
  16. What is the fuel and material surcharge for?
    The basic price our company charges covers operating costs—labor, supplies, insurance, energy, etc.—plus a profit. The fuel surcharge is needed to pay for the marginal increase in costs due only to the higher cost of diesel fuel and other petroleum based products while oil prices are very unstable.
