2008 Yardwaste Service
Waste Connections Inc. thanks you for the opportunity to provide your garbage service. We value you as a customer and look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Spring is approaching so we would like to explain our 2008 yardwaste program. Yardwaste is defined as grass and leaves. Items such as sticks, pine needles and sod can be placed with your regular garbage. Because yardwaste is banned from the landfill, we offer a couple of different options for your yardwaste removal.

We will offer a weekly collection at a base rate of $15.75 per month. If you are on this collection route, we will deliver a 95-gallon cart to your house for your yardwaste. A yardwaste driver will empty your cart. If you have more yardwaste than the cart allows, you may use kraft-type paper bags. There will be a $2 per bag charge. You may also use an additional 95-gallon cart, emptied weekly, for $13 more a month.

The other option is an “on-call” service. If you decide to have your yardwaste picked up on an on-call basis, all bags would be $2 per bag. With this option, you would not receive a yardwaste cart. You must call our office no later than 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday. If your call is not received on time, the yardwaste may be picked up the following week.

Yardwaste collection will run from April 1, 2008 to November 29, 2008. No plastic bags will be accepted. Yardwaste will need to be visible from the street by 6:00 A.M. Wednesday. If you choose to receive a yardwaste cart and be on our weekly collection route, please fill out the form below and return it to Waste Connections of Norfolk.
